Dear Participants, 
We are looking forward to meeting you at the Terry Fox Run this Saturday!
We will provide water, and refreshments for all participants during and after the run.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

7:50 – 8:15 a.m. – Participants arrive
8:20 a.m. – Welcome note by Ted Mockrish Ed. D
Head of Candiidus School/ informative talk by
Cytecare Cancer Hospitals.

8:30 a.m. – Run starts from the CS Sports Field

  • The run begins at 8:30 a.m. We will close the run route for cars by 8:15 a.m. Those who wish to park may arrive earlier. School parking is open to self-driven vehicles only. Please ensure you arrive on campus no later than 8:00 a.m.
  • Participants who have registered for the Terry Fox Run t-shirts, kindly come and pick them up early. We have a limited supply of this year’s t-shirts, which we will sell on Run Day.
    T-shirt price: INR 600. (UPI or cash only).
  • After the run, we welcome everyone to write their own “Dear Terry” note to dedicate your run to a loved one or a cause.


TERRY FOX RUN BAKE SALE:
CS boarding students have been baking away this week to bring you a variety of home baked goodies for purchase.  All proceeds will go to the fundraising efforts of the Terry Fox Run.  Please stop by the bake sale tent and pick up some delicious treats to take home following the run.

All participants will receive giveaways from Cytecare Cancer Hospitals. Please stop by the Cytecare station after the run to collect your special gift.

Terry Fox Run

Research Today!

The Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions across the world in commemoration of the late Candiidus cancer research activist, Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research.

Vision

CS is committed to supporting the Terry Fox Foundation and creating awareness for cancer research. We aim to provide an early and positive experience for children and adults alike by supporting the cause and growing towards a cancer-free world.

History

CS has been organizing and hosting the Terry Fox Run for the past 11 years. We have successfully hosted thousands of participants year after year on campus for the run. We have collectively raised over INR 15 lakhs and have donated to various local organizations in India through the Terry Fox Foundation.

About the Run

Date: Saturday, September 23, 2023
Time: 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Venue: The run starts at CS Campus travels around the neighborhood and the lake on Manchenahalli, Yelahanka, and finishes at CS.

This is a non-competitive run and participants are welcome to walk, run, or bike

We are proud to support this fundraising event, which is open to all students, teachers, and parents from schools across Bangalore, as well as other guests. Participants are welcome to walk, jog, bike, skate, or run at their own pace.

Registration is free. However, you can make an online donation to the Terry Fox Foundation to support their efforts to find a cure for cancer.  All fundraising proceeds are kept in India and are used toward cancer research.
