At CIS School, the students come from the diverse backgrounds. It is extremely important to create an environment of inclusivity. Each student’s social and emotional well-being is vital for their academic success. Community is a place where one grows by supporting one another. Bearing this in mind we have created a CIS Allies Network.
Following the principle of Unity in Diversity a group of students have started a CIS allies network which ensures the students from the diverse backgrounds are getting the much needed support to grow academically and the emotional support is met at the school. As a non-native one has to endure the difficulties at the non-native locations. The allies network ensures that these difficulties of an individual are given enough support by the community. The faculty members come together to promote the educational well being of the student by providing the opportunity to the student learn the common language such as English with the EAL program at CIS School. Awareness programs are held by the allies network in the school to promote the awareness on different ethnicities, race, social, class, disabilities, LGBTQ and gender equality. This helps the students to understand the world is a place of diversity. The respect towards other cultures is also promoted by various events held at the school.
Frequent group discussions and the awareness programs are held at the CIS School, to ensure the students understand that the community thrives in inclusivity. At every event in the school there are various programs held where the student gets to learn about different cultures and showcase the uniqueness of their own culture. This way we promote healthy inclusivity at CIS School.
