The student council at CIS is a collaborative council of Elementary school, middle school and high school. The students in the council are passionate leaders chosen/voted by their fellow mates. They make sure that everyone’s voices are heard and the constructive feedback is taken and is worked on. They exhibit strong leadership skills.
The students in the council of elementary school work collaboratively to initiate the events and ensure the smooth organization by coordinating with the teachers. Volunteering and leading the team are for the passionate council members who develop their leadership skills by being a member of the student council.
Students are provided with the various opportunities during the assembly to initiate the process of the assembly. Ensuring the discipline through the school assembly and the smooth progress of it are mainly concentrated in this level of student council. The members of student council are chosen with the voting based student-election.
Making a difference to the social community is promoted in the high school level student council. The social charities, NGOs, awareness drives etc., are the most concentrated. This is mainly to build a strong individual. Developing their leadership skills the students understand how to become a responsible citizen of the country. Involving them in the social drives helps us in understanding their perspective of their lives and also open up a wide opportunities for them to understand various aspects of the society and how one should be able to do the good in the community to become a great leader and a responsible citizen.
